Education

I received my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1998.

Experience

This will be my 12th year at Treetops, and my 16th year of classroom teaching. I have taught elementary grades 1-5 in my years of experience.

This year, I will be teaching 5th and 6th grade Language Arts! This is my first year teaching 6th grade.

I am certified to teach grades 1-8 with endorsements in 4-8 ELA/Reading/Writing and English as a Second Language.

Bio

I was born in Germany, and moved to the United States when my dad retired from the Air Force. I grew up in Oklahoma, living a mile away from Tinker AFB. I am the baby of 5 kids, and much younger than my siblings (11 years younger than kiddo #4). I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters, as well as many nieces and nephews.

I met my husband, Scot, during my junior year of high school and we have been together since then. He bravely packed up and moved with me to Texas in 1998 so that I could pursue teaching. We have been married for 21 years.

We moved to Euless in 2000, and had our daughter in 2004. She attends Treetops and is in 9th grade this year.
